Bookmarks & Links
The notes below will help you to choose which are the most suitable Bookmarks & Links (Favourites) whether you are simply bookmarking a page for yourself or adding content to your club website.
If you are looking to add content, League Tables, Results, Scorers and/or Fixtures, to your club website check out the examples and instructions on the Embedded Content page and League IDs on the League Structure page.
The Website supports two formats, Static (Fixed) and Active (Current) – the terms Static and Active refer to the intent of the Bookmarks & Links rather than the nature of the content of the page.
Static (Fixed) Bookmarks & Links
These are conventional Bookmarks & Links - the same Static (Fixed) or Seasonal (Historical) content, revisions aside, is returned each time.
Examples of Static (Fixed) Bookmarks & Links:
Examples of Seasonal (Historical) Bookmarks & Links:
To ensure you have the correct Seasonal (Historical) Bookmark or Link use the Seasons link or individual season links 2016-17, 2015-16, etc in the footer of the webpage to navigate to your chosen Fixtures, Results or Scorers page.
Active (Current) Bookmarks & Links
Active (Current) Bookmarks & Links differ from above - the link does not contain a season, the season returned is dependant on the date the link is activated.
For Fixtures, seasons run from the beginning of June until the end of May the following year and, for Results and Scorers, seasons run from late September to the beginning of September the following year.
Examples of Active (Current) Bookmarks & Links:
To ensure you have the correct Active (Current) Bookmark or Link use the Fixtures or Results link on the Menu Bar of the webpage to navigate to your chosen Fixtures, Results or Scorers page.
Where appropriate to use, Active (Current) Bookmarks or Links have an advantage over their counterpart Static (Fixed) Bookmarks or Links, they do not need to be changed each season to remain up to date.
